Committee

Leigh Lollipops Nursery is run by a committee, made up mostly of parents/carers.  The Committee is primarily responsible for fundraising, appointing the staff, dealing with the finances and matters relating to Ofsted, and the premises etc. The Committee is elected every year at the AGM; there is a Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer and a maximum of eight other elected members.

Involvement in the Commitee gives parents the opportunity to decide how they want their children cared for and educated, something they would not be able to do in a private nursery or school.

All parents are invited to committee meetings and there are lots of ways you can contribute to the Committee.  You can choose to give as much or as little time as you can spare. The good thing is that you don’t need any experience to make a difference!
